HELLDIVERS 2 Developers Arrowhead Games continues to clean up the disaster that was the PSN Account saga by getting rid of the bad actors that made it so much worse. "Spitz," one of the Community Managers on Discord, has had their position stripped and associations removed. While not the worst offender (that title belongs to Baskinator), Spitz made a few mistakes in handling the fan backlash that did not improve the situation and actively hurt outreach. A Community Manager acts as an intermediary between fans and developers. Good CM's are invisible, but several in recent months have made certain scandals all about them and their personal ideologies. Hollywood is having serious problems performing at the Box Office in 2024. The Fall Guy is just the recent example of the problem plaguing the industry: a film with an elaborate budget, doomed to becoming a flop by virtue of the times. If it cost half of what it did and did the same opening weekend, it wouldn't be a conversation. But the failures of Show Business are trickling over from 2023. The biggest flops from the year of the Flop-buster are being ranked and Disney has carried the day with 4 of the 5 top bombs. The cherry on top is The Marvels, even with their inaccurate numbers. Calculating the flop using data from before the extensive reshoots has the most recent MCU Cinematic offering costing Disney $237 Million. Add into the equation Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, Wish, Elemental, The Little Mermaid, The Haunted Mansion, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania and you have a dismal year all around. But look at the offerings in 2024. None will reach the depths of 2023, but there is little hope on the horizon of a turn around, that's for sure. Crytivo CEO Alex Kushelkov, the team behind Farm Folks, issued an ill-advised apology and decided to grant an interview with one of the most unethical journalists in history, Kotaku Senior Editor, Alyssa Mercante. WWE has declined to renew the talent contract for the legendary Jerry "The King" Lawler. A staple in the commentary booth for parts of 3 decades, Lawler is still signed to a Legends Deal with the company, but the way the media is reporting it, it highlights how out of the public conscious WWE really is. Drew Gulak was also apart of the recent round of releases in the Post-WrestleMania season. Well, according to Triple H, his contract wasn't renewed, but it's just semantics. Sony demanding Steam players sign up for a frequently hacked PSN account to continue to play the game is a monumentally dim idea, considering over 170 Countries do not have access to PSN.
