20220513 Family Planning - The Daily Summation
You'll forgive me for saying so (though frankly, I really DON'T CARE whether or not you do), but seeking an abortion for an "unwanted pregnancy," is one of the WORST EXAMPLES of "family planning" I can imagine.
You can accept it or not, but as far as I (and VERY MANY OTHERS) am (and are) concerned, life begins at conception.
If that's true, there's no better word to describe it, than MURDER.
I talk about this, and related subjects, on today's edidion of The Daily Summation from Kurt's Religion and Politics.
If you want to hear my take, check out the video or audio podcast.

Very little in my life, has been as wonderful, as the story I relate in today's edition of The Daily Summation from Kurt's Religion and Politics.

20220511 You'll Surely Die - The Daily Summation
I'm not saying all people making dire pronouncements are full of hooey.
I AM saying MANY such folks are.
They want you to believe, for example, that if you DON'T get that abortion, it will be the end of your little world for all intents and purposes.
You'll forgive me for saying in LIKELY NINETY PERCENT OF ALL ABORTIONS, that's JUST NOT TRUE.
I talk about the whole, "You'll surely die!" idea on today's edition of They Daily Summation from Kurt's Religion and Politics.

20220510 They're Still Spending - The Daily Summation
Why is it that I'm not so hopeful about us getting out of debt as a country?
The first and biggest reason is this.
People believe we can "solve" the existing debt issue.
The Problem with that?
WE'RE STILL SPENDING!
Few people bring that up.
ABSOULTELY EVERYBODY needs to understand it's the case.

20220509 Abortion - The Daily Summation
The VERY FIRST question you should ask about abortion is, "Is it murder"
This question is born out of another.
"Is that baby in the womb ALIVE?"
I believe the answer is pretty much ALWAYS, "YES!"
This is the start of today's discussion on the subject.
I take a moment to talk about Roe V Wade, and whether it should have ever existed.
If you want to hear a take that's maybe not what you've heard before, check out the latest edition of The Daily Summation from Kurt's Religion and Politics.

20220506 Morality Isn't Emotion - The Daily Summation
For all of you out there who are unwilling or unable to accept the idea those of us who are Christian believers, this is going to be a somewhat meaningless video in some senses.
That said, emotion is NOT morality, nor is morality emotion.
That's true for logic as well--that the two are NOT synonymous.
The major problem, that makes logic and emotion both, unable to fill the "morality void," is that you MUST have a standard for morality, and neither logic, nor emotion requires, or even GENERALLY IMPLIES such a thing.
I discuss this in a little greater detail on today's edition of The Daily Summation from Kurt's Religion and Politics.
Check it out for more.

20220505 Old Isn't Dead - The Daily Summation
No, Tim (Pool) et al, Bill Maher ISN'T confused because he's old or a "Boomer."
He's confused and ill informed because he's a LIBERAL (and a Liberal, one supposes, because he's lazy, though that's harder to prove).
Considering the tendency for Converatives, to be better informed than Liberals, and older folks to be more Conservative, not only does your "theory" NOT pan out, it appears to be counter indicated.
I gut into this idea on today's editon of The Daily Summation, from Kurt's Religion and Politics.

20220504 Party Movement? - The Daily Summation
I have to admit, I DON'T get it.
If you ask most sane folks, they'll pretty much IMMEDIATELY acknowledge, right leaning folks (most especially national politicians), are moving to the Left pretty consistently.
Yet folks will ALSO say the folks on the Right, are moving ever more in that direction, and the chasm is growing.
I grant, it's probably different folks saying each thing.
Let me assure you though, if left and right are becoming more separated, it's typically NOT because the right is moving into a more extreme position.
It's only that they're not moving as quickly left, as the leftists are.
This all intrigues me enough to discuss it on today's edition of The Daily Summation from Kurt's Religion and Politics.
Check out the video, or the audio podcast to hear what I have to say.

20220502 Value in Tribulation? - The Daily Summation
I KNOW it sounds like some sort of "pat answer."
If you're a Christian though, you need to know, God does EVERYTHING for your benefit (frankly, I'm pretty sure He does so whether you're a believer or not).
When people indicate, a time is coming in which all the things you go through (particularly the bad or hard times), will come to make sense, I believe MOST are talking about this idea.
I talk about this more on today's edition of The Daily Summation from Kurt's Religion and Politics.

20220501 Hard Work - The Daily Summation
It's easy to avoid doing hard things.
Though that's true, the results of doing that, are often anything BUT what you really want.
Hard work is, well, HARD.
The BENEFITS of such difficult travail though, are more often than not, worth that labor.
If you're "not good at doing the hard stuff," the sooner you get to the place where you're willing buckle down and DO it, the better.
In the worst case, you'll fail, but learn, so you can succeed in future.
Not a fan of hard work, neither was I.
I still had to learn to do it.
I talk about that some on today's edition of The Daily Summation from Kurt's Religion and Politics.
Hope you'll join me as I do so.

20220430 Our Children - The Daily Summation
I'm sorry, but if you believe "it takes a village to raise a child," you're not just CONFUSED, you've accepted a set of premises, that are Communist or Socialist in nature and have NO PLACE in a Constitutional Republic.
Put simply, my children are MINE, and are likewise, MY RESPONSIBILITY.
If I die, the people in the school my son attends WILL NOT be responsible to ensure he has a home to live in, or food to eat outside of school hours.
If the school my son attends goes away, I just find another to do that job.
If you're a teacher or daycare worker, I'm NOT saying I don't appreciate your being there.
that said though, you DO NOT have the right to assume you can teach my child your morals or values.
I talk about this idea in today's edition of The Daily Summation from Kurt's Religion and Politics.

20220429 I'm Listening - The Daily Summation
In my experience (your mileage may vary), Liberal/Left leaning folks are NOT prone to be willing to EVEN BEGIN TO hear folks of different ilks.
I won't say ALL Right leaning people are better at that.
That considered, in MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCE, most folks on that side of the aisle, WILL AT LEAST LISTEN TO people with whom they end up disagreeing.
Put simply I'm listening, and so are most of the individuals of like mind to myself.
Today's edition of The Daily Summation from Kurt's Religion and Politics, is all about that idea.

20220425 Bridging the Chasm - The Daily Summation
I KNOW WELL, I'm far from the only one questioning whether the "chasm" between folks who count themselves Progressives, and those who consider themselves Conservatives, can ever be bridged again.
I'm concerned--among other things--that those on the "left" will never be willing to STOP trying to get concessions out of the "other side."
I'm ALREADY past my point of willingness to concede.
I'm curious though.

20220421 A World of Trouble - The Daily Summation
Why is there evil in the World?
Why do bad things happen to good people?
When bad things happen to folks, is that "repayment" or "karma" of some kind?
How (and WHY) does God allow the World and the things in it, to exist as they do?
Could God have made the World differently than He did and still have accomplished the same results?
I want to talk about these questions on todays's edition of The Daily Summation podcast.
I'm going to answer the questions in a cursory fashion here in my notes, then as I feel I ought to, I'll try to address them in greater depth in the discussion time I build into my program, after I read them.
When I'm able to complete the companion article on the Kurt's Religion and Politics blog, I'll post a link to it here.

20220420 Awareness - The Daily Summation
Is it just me, or are there a BUNCH of folks out there who seem to NOT have awareness of what's going on around them in their skill set?
I get there are some who either know but don't care, or even are maybe malicious in their outlook.
That said, it truly seems to me, like there are a BUNCH of individuals, who just don't seem to be able to process reality.
I want to know if I'm mistaken, so you can definitely comment (or use some other mechanism) to let me know how I'm wrong.
Anyway, that's what I did the current edition of The Daily Summation from Kurt's Religion and Politics on.
Check it out, and let me know your feelings when you're done!

20220419 Who’s Hurt? - The Daily Summation
Those folks who get into accidents where they're not responsible for what happened, may not be very inclined to look at that other person--the one who caused the problem.
For MY part, I DO feel bad for the person who recently started my son and me, on a journey to heal, and get my life back in order, after DESTROYING our vehicle.
Even so, I want to try to get people to take the time and effort to BE MORE CAREFUL.
Maybe the lady who hit us, thinks about what she did to us, maybe not.
One thing's for sure though, she proabably as NO REAL IDEA.
I want to take a moment to talk about that on today's edition of The Daily Summation from Kurt's Religion and Politics.
Hope you'll take fifteen minutes or so, to sit and visit while I do so!

20220418 Taking My Time - The Daily Summation
You may think you're being clever by telling me I "don't care" about things when I say I don't have the time to do them.
You may even be willing to make the argument I care less about the things I DON'T get done, than the things to which I DON'T get around.
And frankly, you may well be CORRECT.
My final question though is, "Does that REALLY MATTER?
I discuss all of this in greater detail in today's edition of The Daily Summation from Kurt's Religion and Politics.
Join me to hear what I have to say.
