20220417 Wage Increases - The Daily Summation
Is it really true, that the numbers reported by the political class for MOST things are "real?"
I don't tend to think so.
One thing many may not consider, is what they report on how wages are rising or falling.
This is something I feel the need to discuss.
Want to hear what I think?

20220416 Discernment - The Daily Summation
Maybe one of the most important things Christians and non-Christians alike can possess in the modern day is DISCERNMENT.
I want to give a couple examples I count worth considering for Christians, but keep in mind, Christian or not, discernment is important for you as well.
Today's edition of The Daily Summation from Kurt's Religion and Politics will do just that.
Hope you'll join me for this (important, in my view) discussion.

20220411 Are they Able? - The Daily Summation
Are there circumstances where a person who's not qualfied for a given position can (and maybe SHOULD) be able to get a job for which they don't have the requisite skills?
Sure there are.

20220405 Pushing Democracy - The Daily Summation
Unless you understand the motivation of others, you might be mystified watching how the respond and react to things.
A great example, is watching folks (generally people on the Left) call for more or less Socialism in the United States, while arguing for Democracy elsewhere in the world (particularly in Authoritarian or Totalitarian countries).
I discuss my theory on how folks can seem to support two such disparate political governmental theories on today's edition of The Daily Summation from Kurt's Religion and Politics.

20220402 Race? Seriously? - The Daily Summation
I'm sorry, but I see the allowance of folks to use the word "race," when in my mind, there's no scientific definition for it AT ALL, to be a way to help them to continue to excuse bad behavior, using the term.
I recognize there are differences between people from different parts of the World (and some very small percentage of the time, the even MATTER).
In my World view, all people from Africa are NOT so much the same, as to group them in one convenient little grouping (any more than that's true for folks from Europe).
You can continue to allow that anachronistic term to be used (and sadly, in SOME SENSES, I'll have to allow it).
As for ME, I see NO sense in using it.

20220401 The Other Side - The Daily Summation
Where I can make a pretty compelling argument that the American left, seems intent to do ALL THEY CAN to keep the right in the country, from winning elections, and leading according to their principles, I CANNOT make the statement that either the left OR the right, wants to "destroy" their opponents (at least, not as a general thing).
And frankly, this kind of rhetoric is not just harmful, it makes people question the accuracy of anybody spreading such ideas.
I take the time to discuss this on today's edition of The Daily Summation from Kurt's Religion and Politics.

20220328 Same Data, Different Day - The Daily Summation
I get there are people out there ABSOLUTELY POUNDING prevailing narratives.
Nonetheless, when you've taken the time to review the data, and come to the conclusion those common talking points are WRONG, changing your tune over time is HORRIBLY damaging.
Yet many people seem to move in the direction of that narrative over the course of time, regardless that the information more or less remains the same.
THIS is one of the biggest problems we face.
Letting that happen, is what I wanted to discuss on today's edition of The Daily Summation from Kurt's Religion and POlitics.

I'm QUITE SURE there are folks out there who use political labels, to make it so they can ignore the arguments of others.

20220325 Politics and Beliefs - The Daily Summation
Asking someone to live in "public life," to abandon his or her core beliefs is about as silly a thing as a person could do.
Do you really believe they CAN do that?
So what do you do when it comes time to elect people to public office?
I discuss this idea on this edition of The Daily Summation from Kurt's Religion and Politics.
Come along for the ride to hear my viewpoint.
When I'm able to complete the companion article on the Kurt's Religion and Politics blog, I'll post a link to it here.

20220324 The Public Square - The Daily Summation
Does the state really have any requirement to remove religious symbols, or for that matter any legally placed icons, statues, or similar from "public land?"
I sure don't see how anybody can consider that reasonable or proper.
I talk about my feelings on the question on this edition of The Daily Summation from Kurt's Religion and Politics.
Check it out to hear more.
