On this episode of Direct Impact, Rick Sanchez discusses recent comments by now former Deputy Under Secretary of State Victoria Nuland that objects and sites in Russia are legitimate targets for Ukrainian missiles and drones, many if not most of which are supplied by NATO countries. The next topic is a new law proposed by Congress which seeks to make serving in the Israeli military equivalent to serving in the US Army for American citizens. Romanian MP bites face of colleague during row over seats
Florin Roman, of the National Liberal Party (PNL), and Dan Vîlceanu, an independent, got into an argument during a session of parliament and ended up in an all out brawl in the hall. Vîlceanu had apparently attempted to sit in the PNL benches, which is the political equivalent of trying to sit with the cool kids in the school cafeteria. However, this was not cool. The heated political engagement saw Vîlceanu and Roman exchange ‘harsh words’ and take the matter outside as God intended. ‘I escorted him out, but we didn't fight,’ said Vîlceanu.
Video of the fight shows Vîlceanu appearing to bite Roman’s face and (mostly off-frame) administer a knee to the nose, contrary to parliamentary procedure. The pair were found by PNL Deputy Florian Dumitru, Roman left with a bloody nose and Vîlceanu looming over him, having successfully demonstrated the weight of his argument. Roman said that he avoided retaliation out of respect for parliament, but that he would be escalating the matter to the police.

Police fatally shoot man while trying to help during mental health episode
Yong Yang’s parents called the authorities for help. The police shot and killed their son instead. Yong Yang, a 40-year-old man living in the Los Angeles community of Koreatown with bipolar disorder, was fatally shot by police after experiencing a bipolar episode, and locking himself in his parents’ apartment with a knife. Although mental health personnel initially responded, and within just two minutes decided to involve the police. Bodycam footage shows that police opened the apartment door after a long period trying to reason with Yang, to no avail. Seconds later, they found Yang with his knife, and shot him. Officers then proceeded to arrest the corpse and, somehow, avoid telling the family what had truly happened.
The police and a clinician claimed Yang had been violent, but Yang’s parents dispute this, insisting he was not physically aggressive and was simply trying to protect himself. The bodycam footage appears to corroborate their version of events, with Yang keeping his distance from the officers during the extremely brief confrontation. The Yang family is now demanding an independent investigation and the release of all related evidence.

Tesla nearly plows into moving train in self-drive mode
A Tesla driver in Ohio had a narrow escape when he almost crashed straight into a moving train, a near miss reportedly caused by his car’s self-driving mode.
Craig Doty was driving down a road at night earlier this month, when dashcam footage showed his car heading towards a passing train with no sign of slowing down. Doty says that his Tesla was in full self-driving mode at the time, and that he was forced to wrestle control from the car at the last minute, grabbing the wheel and swerving to avoid the train.
Even worse is Doty’s claim that this has happened before, escaping serious injury less than 6 months earlier, when his car attempted to drive into a moving train.
While Tesla has not commented on this case specifically, they do caution drivers against using full self-drive mode in low light or bad weather conditions, claiming they can ‘significantly degrade performance.’ They didn’t mention that the car might develop a crush on any sexy trains that happen to be around, so they might want to update their guidelines.

One of them will always love you – Biden advises young men to marry into families with 5 daughters
So why do you need to marry into families with 5 daughters, according to Biden:
1) The larger the family, the more fun family gatherings are
2) You get 4 aunts happy to babysit your children
3) You know, hehe, if your wife doesn't love you... one of the sisters will always love you 😏
Guess.
