In this episode of the Route 66 Adventure begins in Yukon where we found a couple murals on our way to El Reno to film the Canadian County Historical Museum. We filmed a mural on our way to Jobe's Drive-in Restaurant to get some history from owner Robert Sanders. This segment ends with some talkative cows (at least to this city slicker).

In this episode of the Route 66 Adventure we left the obelisk on the Ozark Trail and shot a mural next store to Ger Wooly's. We filmed the Davenport sign and restored station, but did not stop till we entered Chandler to see the Lincoln Motel (open), the Route 66 Station (being restored), the Chandler bakery, and their mural. Our destination is the Round Barn, but on the way, in Warwick, we filmed the Motorcycle museum. We found another Route 66 spur in Luther. This spur is on private land that the owner allows travelers to see. Thanks! As we get closer to the Round Barn we came across Historic boundary and a mural.

Take a six minute smile break from politics and COVID!
Episode 37 of “A Great Route 66 Adventure” was released; each episode is about 6 minutes long. Do me a favor and give it a view and subscribe.
In this episode of the Route 66 Adventure we continue the Gay Parita shoot. This was one of our favorite attractions thanks to Gary. We continued south filming old ruins as we passed through tiny towns like Avillia till we arrived in Carthage and the Boots Motel that was housing low income tenants at this time, but now it is restored and open for business. Wendy Douglas was our Carthage tour guide. Our next stop is the Jasper County Courthouse, and besides the architecture, inside is a mural attraction worth checking out.
I hope the maps I am providing makes mapping out your adventure easy.

In this episode of the Route 66 Adventure we are heading to Paris Springs because we are anxious to meet and talk with Gary of the Gay Parita Service station attraction. On the way we shot Stan's Motor Service Garage (closed), and a ruin that we discovered later on was the old Casket Factory. At last, we arrived and met Gary; he has that personality that makes you feel like an old friend after one word.

In this episode of the Route 66 Adventure Bill Wheeler explains the history of 'four corners' in Lebanon, then he took us to the Route 66 museum that had a display of how four corners looked back when Route 66 was the way west. Our next location is the iconic Munger Moss Motel, where we stayed overnight. Ramona Lehman met us and gave a bit of history. Our next stop was the Shrine Mosque in Springfield.

In this episode of the Route 66 Adventure we filmed Devils Elbow and their bridge before we moved on to film the Gasconade River Bridge. Bridges are route 66 landmarks and usually are truss bridges common back in the day. Then we filmed Mr. C's Route Post where we find the creator of Route 66 soda pop. The father / son team runs the place; Mat and Scott Cameron, two great guys. From there we filmed Wrink's Market where we met and filmed poet Roberta Page who told us some old road stories. From there we met with Bill Wheeler at the Carter Lawson Filling Station for some history.

In this episode of the Route 66 Adventure we are in Cuba, the city of mural art. Our first stop is the Wallace House landmark. We were fortunate to meet with Wilbur Vaughn and his wife Imogene. Wilbur told us the old road story of the day he took a controversial picture, during 1948, of actress Bette Davis. They made a mural depicting this story. We stayed at the iconic Wagon Wheel Motel where we spoke with the owner Connie Echols. The episode ends with a mural shoot.
