I believe they're copperheads, but I'm no snake expert. I came across these two snakes while trail running in South Carolina.

Things to do in San Francisco - Point Reyes, Battery Spencer, and Golden Gate Park
Our short visit to San Francisco was filled with things to do. Our first stop was the Japanese Tea Garden in Golden Gate Park. Next we headed to Pier 39 where we saw our first seal lion. We ended our first night with a drive down Lombard Street. The next morning we headed towards Redwood National Park, but stopped on our way at Agate Beach to go tide pooling. On our way back to San Francisco we stopped at Point Reyes National Seashore to see the S.S. Point Reyes and Battery Spencer to see a great view of Golden Gate Bridge and a bit of local history. Our last stop before heading to Yosemite was San Francisco Botanical Garden, also located within Golden Gate Park.

Things to do in Redwood National and State Parks
Our weekend trip to Redwood National Park started with a drive through Cathedral Tree, had a brief stop at the beach, and a hike around Lady Bird Johnson Grove. On our second day, we began with the Fern Canyon hike, and stopped by Gold Bluffs Beach, as our permit was still valid. We then headed to Prairie Creek Trail, where we found Redwood Trees you can walk through, and found more Roosevelt Elk along the way. Our last stops for the trip were slightly up the Pacific Coast, into Oregon, where we stopped at Harris Beach and Natural Bridges.

Golden Gate Park - Japanese Tea Garden and San Francisco Botanical Gardens
While visiting San Francisco we spent a good portion of our time at Golden Gate Park, which is a huge park located within San Francisco. There was far too much to see within Golden Gate Park for the amount of time we had, so we chose to visit the Japanese Tea Garden and San Francisco Botanical Garden. My favorite parts of the Japanese Tea Garden were the Drum Bridge and Green Tea Cheesecake. The San Francisco Botanical Garden is absolutely huge and one could easily spend an entire day or possibly more than one day exploring the variety of plants and environments located within. I think my favorite part of the San Francisco Botanical Garden was the Succulent Garden, however the Ancient Plant Garden and Moon Viewing Garden are both really cool as well!

Grinnell Glacier Trail - Glacier National Park Montana
We had one main hike that we wanted to do when we visited Glacier National Park in Montana, and that was Grinnell Glacier Trail. The hike to Grinnell Glacier is a popular hike within Glacier National Park, so expect to see other people if you hike here. The views along the trail are absolutely stunning, from the very blue water, to all the surrounding mountains, it's all very beautiful. The weather here does change very quickly though, so be sure to pack extra layers for the Grinnell Glacier hike.

Things to do in Yellowstone National Park in One Day
There are so many things to do at Yellowstone National Park! We spent one day in Yellowstone, due to the ALPS (Alternating License Plate System), however we easily could've spent more. Our main stops were Lewis Falls, Old Faithful, Upper Geyser Basin, Biscuit Basin, Mystic Falls, Grand Prismatic Spring, and Canyon Village. We also saw so many bison in Yellowstone. We had a fantastic time hiking in Yellowstone National Park, and are still surprised at how much there is to see. I was especially surprised at the variety of geysers and pools in Upper Geyser Basin.

Grand Teton National Park - Jenny Lake, Hidden Falls, and Inspiration Point
Our first national park of this trip was Grand Teton National Park. I absolutely loved hiking around Hidden Falls, and the views of Jenny Lake from Inspiration Point were stunning as well. If you have the opportunity, I recommend taking the boat shuttle across Jenny Lake at least once, especially on a hot day. Hidden Falls and Inspiration point is a rather popular hike within Grand Teton National Park, so expect to see others along the trail. There are some side trails however that are less popular.

Bozeman Montana - Montana Grizzly Encounter, Palisade Falls, and Fairy Lake
Come with us as we explore things to do in Bozeman Montana! We had an afternoon to explore Bozeman and we chose to visit Montana Grizzly Encounter, hike Palisade Falls in the Hyalite Recreation Area, and hike around Fairy Lake in Gallatin National forest. Both Palisade Falls and Fairy Lake are short, easy hikes near Bozeman Montana and great options for hiking if you don't have a ton of time. Montana Grizzly Encounter is a rescue sanctuary for grizzlies who would not be able to survive on their own in the wild. Hope you enjoy this Bozeman Montana travel vlog!

Solo Camping at Cades Cove Campground - Great Smoky Mountains National Park
I had a great time solo camping at Cades Cove Campground in Great Smoky Mountains National Park! Cades Cove is located near Townsend Tennessee, and is often referred to as "the peaceful side of the Smokies". I camped at Cades Cove in order to bike Cades Cove Loop Road on Wednesday, which is vehicle free during the summer. While here I also had the opportunity to explore Crib Gap Trail, Vee Hollow, Meigs Creek Trail, Pine Oak Nature Trail, and Anthony Creek Via Ledbetter Ridge. I used this solo camping trip as a chance to work towards completing the Smoky Mountains 900 Miler Challenge.
