Orthodoxy vs. Progressive Christianity
The primary doctrines of Christianity may be stated slightly differently from one church gathering to the next, but they are the ones that, by and large, we should all agree on. There is clearly a large measure of grace that we are meant to extend towards one another as we are each pursuing Christ with a limited ability to fully understand many of the big topics found in scripture – so with that in mind, if there is a big disagreement on primary doctrines, how far is too far?

Non-Negotiables: Primary Doctrines
Unity within the body of believers is critically important and yet, we also looked at the big and seemingly small issues that caused the church to split into the 6 primary branches that just about all of the almost 40,000 modern denominations are descending out of. Love and unity are meant to be distinctives which set apart the Christian Church from the rest of the divided world. Our faith in Jesus transcends our cultures, our nations, our politics, our families and even our lives and binds us together in, what Romans 12 describes as “one body in Christ.” This is the way it ought to be.

Denominations vs. Christian Unity
There are faithful Christians all over the world who are sharing the Gospel, but there's a lot of push-back. Some of the critiques that Christians get are pretty easily dismissed, and some are a little more challenging. One critique Christians are often faced with is why there are so many denominations of Christianity, and that's what we will discuss today.

One Reason Marxism Fails
Our philosophies, the ones that we truly believe and not just what we superficially claim on the surface, are what dictate our actions, behaviors and decisions in life and relationships. Subjective Morality and Secular Humanism
Today, we are tackling a big question: Are you a good person? I mean, that should be our goal, right; to be good, decent, and production contributors to society in our local communities and the world at large? If we can all agree that that, goodness, should be the goal that each of us strives towards, then we should be off to a good start. At the end of today’s video, we’re going to give you a quick and easy test so that you can know the answer without a shadow of a doubt, but before we do that, we need to take a deeper look at the question.

How Philosophy Informs Our Lives
What are you living for? The Christian worldview here is that we were made by God and for God, to glorify Him in and with our lives. That’s a short answer with a long explanation, but we’ll come back to that part. Other theistic groups would answer that question according to their beliefs about the god that they worship and the doctrines of their faith, but what about atheists? What about agnostics? If you don’t believe in God, what are you living for?

2022 Media Review - Music ♫
Last week was movies and this week is all about the top music of 2022. This year, a consistent trend in music was pointing out how hopeless all of it was. The music is actually a really perfect metaphor for the lifestyles they are singing about; it’s slick, well produced, touched and retouched to be everything you’re looking for - but soon enough you’re feeling numb and empty.
