I'm still on the 5mg dose of Mounjaro. It is controlling my diabetes, although, I may be looking to increase my dose if my numbers begin to elevate again. If an injection spot change does not increase my glucose control it may be time for me to increase to the next dose, 7.5mg. My blood sugar is no longer controlled in the 90-100 range. The weathermen were calling for a cold wet winter. Never happened. We made almost zero money with our salter and plow last winter. Denial is a real thing y’all). Starting weight day 1 of Mounjaro (Week 1) 185-190 lbs. Began Mounjaro for the Type 2 diabetes primarily. Losing some lbs would be a bonus.

Week 17 on the GLP-1 Mounjaro is in the books. My diabetes is well controlled and my obesity is almost not obesity any more. I've lost some weight and I feel amazing! Foot pain did not wake me for once this morning. It’s still there, but nowhere near as painful as previous days/weeks. 12:30pm – Feeling great! Looking forward to another 4 oz steak tonight. Leftover from my 10 oz steak from last night. 4:30pm – Dinner. Roast and carrots. Small portion. ------------------------------------------- 25 February 2024, Sunday Blood sugar –92 2am till 5am - Many trips to the bathroom. BMs. Loose. After the 5am trip began to feel much better. Slept until 9:30am. Woke feeling much better. 10am - Ate an apple. 4pm – 6 oz steak. Small potato. ---------------------------------------------- 24 February 2024, Saturday Blood sugar - 86 Spent the night going to the bathroom and feel nauseous. Threw up a few times. Miserable night. Slept most of the day. Felt terrible. Headache. Pukey. 2pm – Vomited again. Nothing by saliva. Other than the foot pain waking me in the early morning, I’m sleeping well. 4pm – Ceasar salad. ---------------------------------------------- 14 February 2024, Wednesday Blood sugar – 71 10:00am – Mounjaro injection. 5mg dose. 4pm- Spaghetti and 1 meatball. 6pm – Pack of peanut butter crackers. 11:30pm – Woke up feeling like I need to have a bowel movement. Stomach hurting. Sulphur burps intense. When I sat on the toilet what felt like a burp went immediately to projectile vomiting with no warning. What a mess. Spaghetti from dinner and peanut butter crackers no longer a part of my digestion. ---------------------------------------------- 13 February 2024, Tuesday Blood sugar – 101 11am – Lunch. Ham and cheese sandwich. 4:30pm – Dinner. 1 ½ slices of pizza. ------------------------------------------------ 12 February 2024, Monday Blood sugar - 77 6am - Woke up with pain in right foot/ankle. I’m not convinced that this is arthritis. Still thinking gout.
