In New Mexico we did a beautiful hike at Gila Cliff Dwellings National Monument and saw the ancient Pueblo ruins. We also took a day trip out to White Sands National Park, which was our second time going to White Sands. We had gone three years ago on our first trip out west.

We have been enjoying some indoor rock climbing to train a little more for some outdoor climbing. Blythe has also been very interested in it!

We checked out Bryce Canyon before heading down into Arizona and also made a trip over to Petrified Forest National Park.

Theresa had a conference in Las Vegas so we tagged along! Me and Blythe went to almost every hotel on the strip and checked out the aquarium, the M and M store plus road the monorail! Blythe went to her first buffet ever at the Bellagio Hotel and we did a King Aurthur dinner show!

We purchased the permit to go to the Fiery Furnace in Arches National Park. It was an awesome hike! Worth the extra couple bucks to check out!

We went canyoneering in Zion National Park with a guide which was a great experience and has gotten Blythe very interested in climbing. We also went to a couple Halloween festivals around Moab before we left for Zion.

We checked out Goblin Valley State Park. This is one of the coolest state parks we have been to! There are no real trails you just wander around and check out the rocks!

We checked out Capitol Reef National Park! There are some great hikes, petroglyphs, and you can't forget the pie! Yes, I did say pie! It is amazing too! They sell out about noon though so make sure to get the little store early and grab some homemade pie and ice cream!

On our RV travels we stopped in Lava Hot Spring in Idaho for a week. We checked out the natural hot spring, the commercial one multiple times, and the amazing indoor pool as well!

We visited Craters of the Moon, and we are so glad we did. It was worth the drive and was very unique. Our first stop was a huge cinder pile that we climbed up and got some amazing views. We then checked out the "caves" or the old lava tubes. Blythe had a blast exploring.

We made it to Inspiration Point and we continued a little further hoping to see some even more epic views but the fog was so thick we ended up turning around.

We spent the $40 to get a back country permit so we could go kayaking for a couple hours. It was a great paddle checking out the geysers and hot springs. Make sure to keep paddling a little further than we went! We missed the best one!

We checked out Old Faithful and the surrounding hot springs and other formations. Around Old Faithful there is a board walk with many other things to see.

The Grand Canyon of Yellowstone is a beautiful area with some great waterfalls and some easy trails.

This was a small "zoo" where you can learn about bears, wolves, otters, and more. If you get there before 2:30 you can sign up your kids to go in and hide food for the bears.

We went up to northern Glacier (Polebridge), and of course didn't realize we had the wrong permit.... So we couldn't do too much up there, but we did squeeze in an easy hike.

We checked out a rodeo near Glacier National Park. It was our first, and it was a blast!

Glacier is tuff with kids, there are not that many short hikes to do. Many of them are over 10 miles. This hike started as Trail of the Cedars which is a boardwalk and we continued on to Avalanche Lake.

In the summer take a ride on a little roller coaster or take a ride up the mountain on the ski lift and get a beer at the top. The ski trails become mountain bike trails in the summer as well!

If you are near Hungry Horse you should check out the dam. They have a lot of coloring books and activities for kids, and don't forget to take your dam picture!

Hiking the Apikuni Falls Trail in Glacier National Park, we also took a very cold dip in the river!

Old McDonalds Farm

We checked out Big Thunder Gold Mine in South Dakota. You get to tour an old gold mine and then they teach you how to pan for gold!

We took a trip on the 1880's train in South Dakota. It was a fun ride and beautiful scenery.
