Our First Kayaking Adventure! | Intex Explorer K2 | Intex Dakota K2 Inflatable Kayak Review
Have you ever wondered how those inflatable kayaks you've seen on Amazon hold up? We decided to purchase two Intex Explorer K2 inflatable kayaks and one Intex Dakota K2 inflatable kayak so our family could start kayaking. We were a little unsure how the Intex inflatable kayaks would work but we decided to go ahead and purchase them anyway. They come with a really economical price tag and are very convenient if you have limited storage for hard shelled kayaks. Check out the video now to see how they worked as Suburban Adventures goes on our first ever kayak adventure.

Kayak Adventure Part 2 | Intex Explorer K2 Review | Intex Dakota K2 Review
We did a follow up to our video introducing our new Intex Explorer and Dakota K2 inflatable kayaks. We received some positive feedback and some great questions concerning these inflatable kayaks/canoes. I decided to do a follow up video that went into a little more depth on these great kayaks.
After we went out for a kayaking adventure I answered a few questions concerning the Intex Explorer and Intex Dakota kayaks. I also included some fun shots up our latest kayaking adventure.

Vintage Pocket Fisherman Fishing Challenge | Bass Fishing
Can you actually catch fish on a 40 year old pocket fisherman? I wanted to see if I could catch as many fish as the rest of my family, the only catch was I would be using an old pocket fisherman that my father had given to me.
Check it out now to see how I did with the the pocket fisherman challenge.
While we are not a fishing channel exclusively, one of our favorite adventures is to go fishing. We are certainly not experts, we've only been doing it for the past couple of years but we are learning a lot, getting better at it, finding some great fishing holes and just enjoying spending time together. I thought I'd make it interesting and see if I could actually pull some bass out of the ole' fishing hole with my vintage pocket fisherman. Watch to the end to see who caught the most fish.

Magnet Fishing | What did we find?!
We decided to try a new adventure today. After recently purchasing a magnet fishing kit we decided we take it to the lake at a nearby State Park and see if we could find any treasures. Check out the video to see what we found!
Magnet fishing seems to be all the rage right, I recently bought a magnet fishing kit to see what the hype was all about. After a couple of unsuccessful attempts at the river near our house, we decided to head over to a lake that is frequented with kayakers and canoers. We had a great time, we discovered it is a really enjoyable hobby. We'll definitely be doing it again.

Exploring Binghamton's Sinking Bridge | Chenango Street Bridge Construction
This adventure is a little bit different than usual. Instead of bike trails in the woods, we went on a bike ride through the city. This was more of an urban adventure. A couple miles from our house is recently constructed bridge that has been sinking. They've closed the bride to traffic but pedestrians can still walk through it. We've wanted to check it out for a while now, so we decided to ride our bikes down and check it out. It was kind of bizarre but we had a good time exploring. Check out the full video now!

How many fish can we catch in 90 minutes? | 90 Minute Fishing Challenge
We stumbled across a great fishing spot that we've been going to most of the summer. As summer is winding down, we decided to head out one last time and see how many fish we could catch in 90 minutes. Most of these fish are not record breaking in size, but the boys really just like catching fish.
Check out our latest adventure where we head out to do some fishing! We've really enjoyed fishing this summer and we've had plenty of opportunities to enjoy being outside, fishing together.

How to Use a Minnow Trap | Minnow trap Success!
Here's a follow up to our recent minnow trap fail video. We weren't about to give up with our vintage minnow trap. We decided to take it down to our favorite creek after spotting lots of minnows swimming around. This was a great chance for us to get out on a bike ride and do some creek exploring on a great fall evening. We tried baiting it with bread again and we set the trap for a couple of hours. Check out the video to see our successful haul of minnows this time around.

I Was Disappointed (To Say the Least) | XtraTuf Deck Boots Review
I've had my XtraTuf Deck Boots for a little over a year and I must say I'm a little disappointed. After doing an initial review of them (after having them for 6 months) I was pleased, but shortly after that, after owning them for about 8-9 months they began breaking down and became almost useless after owning them for less then a year.
Check out my follow up review to see what happened to them and why I've done a complete 180 with these.
Interested in my Fake XtraTuf's? I've only worn them once, they felt nice. We'll see how they do. Anyway, here's a link to them on Amazon:

First Time Ice Fishing!
Here at Suburban Adventures we are always looking for new and fun adventures to try, especially during the winter months when it's cold, dark and gray. This winter we decided to try some ice fishing. We've never done this before, so just a disclaimer, this is NOT a how to ice fishing video. I received a hand auger for drilling holes in the ice for Christmas so we decided that this would be a perfect opportunity to try it out. We've had an extended cold streak so we were confident we'd have enough ice. We went to a nearby creek that we have fished before. I wasn't expecting a lot of success but we had to start somewhere. Enjoy our first foray into ice fishing, and don't forget to subscribe!

I Think This May Be Our Best Catch Magnet Fishing | Creek Adventures
It's late winter and we decided to try our hand at magnet fishing again. We went down to the creek that we've explored before. This spot, we've noticed, seems to be where a lot of debris gets washed down. We wanted to attempt this spot back in the fall but the water level was too high. We finally got a little break in the weather, it was chilly but warm enough to try our luck with our magnet. We didn't get skunk, check out the video now to see what we found.

How Fast Do You Go While Sledding?
Have you ever wondered how fast you go when you are sledding? After sledding a bunch of times this winter, we decided to go sledding one last time. This time we wanted to track our speed. It always seems like you're traveling at an incredible rate of speed when you are sledding but how fast are you actually going? Check out the video to see our top speed in our last sledding adventure of the winter season.

River Fishing for Small Mouth with a Whopper Plopper Lure | What is a Whopper Plopper?
We are back with a brand new video. One of our favorite activities this summer has been river fishing in the Chenango River, right near our house. We found a great spot in the river where we can wade right out and catch a lot of fish. In this video we bring you along and show you a great lure we discovered for catching small mouth bass in the river. It's a great lure with a funny name, it's called the whopper plopper. It's a great top water lure from the company River2Sea. Watch until the end to see how this lure worked out for us.

We Went Magnet Fishing And This Is Our Luckiest Find Yet!
Hey everybody! One of the things we love to do at Suburban Adventures is magnet fishing. We've made a couple of videos already of us magnet fishing, unfortunately we haven't gotten wealthy from any sunken treasure yet. This time we decided to do something different, so we loaded up the canoe and headed out to the lake to try and see what we could find. I think we may have found our most valuable AND our luckiest finds yet!! Check out the video now to see what we were able to pull up!!

Canoe Trip Down the River!
Here's a fun, easy, affordable thing to do on a summer day. Hop in a canoe, kayak or inner tube and float down a nearby river. This is an adventure that we have done a bunch of times this summer. We hop in our canoe, grab some snacks and our fishing poles and enjoy a couple of hours floating down the river. With summer winding down, we decided to do it one more time. We had a great time and we even caught some pretty decent size fish along the way. Check out the video now to see the fish we caught!

Solo Stove Review One Year Later | Is it worth it? | Is it really smokeless?
We've had our SoloStove for a year now. It's made it through 2 summers of use and too many bonfires to count. We've had a lot of fun with it. I wanted to revisit it after 15 months worth of use to let you know the things I like about it, and a couple of things I think need to be improved upon. I'll look at a couple of things like, is it really smokeless? How does it hold up? How much work is it to clean up?
If you have been thinking about buying a SoloStove but were unsure about the price/hype around them, make sure you check out this video now.

New Fire Pit | Solo Stove Review
With summer approaching, we wanted to upgrade our backyard fire pit. I purchased a Solo Stove bonfire fire pit. They're a little bit more money than most wood burning fire pits. We did a review of it and let you know if it is worth the extra money, and if it lives up to it's claim that they are smokeless. We live in the suburbs so we don't have a lot of space for a bonfire ring in our backyard. I came across the Solo Stove bonfire portable pit and thought I'd purchase it and give it a try. Check out our video to see our thoughts about this portable fire pit.

We Found a New Spot to Magnet Fish and We Found This....Again!
We went exploring and found another great creek for magnet fishing. We got to work seeing what we could pull out. We thought this might be a great spot for some great magnet fishing finds, it was right under a bridge of a fairly busy road. We had a great time magnet fishing and exploring this little creek. Not only did we find some exciting things, we will definitely be returning in the spring to explore and fish this creek.

Testing My Magnet Fishing Magnet on Items in My Garage, But The Items Get Heavier and Heavier
We thought we would conduct a fun experiment using our magnet fishing magnet. The magnet is a 500 pound pull strength magnet, but what does that look like in real life? So I grabbed a bunch of random items from my garage, but the items get progressively heavier and heavier. In the process, I realized that I may need to think about an upgrade with my magnet fishing magnet.
If you enjoy magnet fishing check out our entire magnet fishing playlist! Thanks for watching!

We Finally Retrieved This Mystery Item While Magnet Fishing!!
In a previous video we were doing some magnet fishing and came across a pretty big item but the water was too deep that we couldn't pull it up. Well it has been pretty dry the last two weeks here, so we decided to head back down to the same spot and see if the water had receded enough so that we could pull it out. It certainly took some work, but we finally were able to pull up this mystery item. Check out the video now to see what the item was.
