Exactly Who is Calling the Shots in Australia?
Part 2: Big Pharma's Stranglehold on Government Revealed | https://youtu.be/vhTJiK9eFhw
I asked Minister Gallagher how many vaccines are provided with an indemnity protection clause by the Australian government whereby those harmed cannot sue the company because the government has taken on the responsibility for harm done.
Her answer was that indemnity was put in place due to the emergency nature of COVID response in the early stages. However 14 different COVID products have received indemnity protection from the Australian government, and one of them as recently as the 10th of October 2023. In response, the minister fell back on confidentiality of agreements between the government and vaccine providers. This is the public's money – the government is there to serve the people of Australia, not keep secrets from them and coerce them into risky products with mandates that even the Health Secretary, Prof Murphy, has said this year were not justifiable. The risk, from COVID, never justified the risk from the trial injections. After all that has been exposed globally, that the government is still promoting these products is shocking.
In saying that all necessary approvals to ensure its safety were followed through the TGA, Minister Gallagher is not being straight with us. The TGA did not test the Pfizer, AstraZeneca and Moderna COVID shots. It relied on the regulators overseas where these products were made. In the case of Pfizer, these were incomplete and aborted trials. The true magnitude of the harm is being released in the Pfizer papers ordered to be released by a judge in the USA.
Why is the government hiding behind confidentiality and exposing taxpayers to the risk of paying for costly damages for injection injuries as well as paying for products that are turning out to be unsafe and ineffective. Products that the public is no longer taking up and which the Minister appears to be pushing like a pharmaceutical sales rep on commission.

The Murray-Darling Basin Environmental Catastrophe Bill
I've travelled the Murray-Darling Basin from its northernmost point in Queensland, through New South Wales, Victoria and into South Australia. I've listened to the people along the way including the Aboriginal people for whom the water in the river is their life and central to their culture, health and happiness. As one elder said, "We were used to justify buybacks and now we have been forgotten".
The mismanagement of the river flow across the basin is based on unmeasured guesses, not data. Government bureaucracy attempting to control the water in the river spells death to farming, death to our precious natural environment, death to the regions, and death to Aboriginal culture and society.
The real agenda here is that the many towns along the river are considered to be 'in the wrong place'. Entire agricultural areas are on the minister's hit list because they 'shouldn't be there'.
But you can't grow food on politics alone, Minister Plibersek. You need water and you need irrigators crazy enough to try and feed Australians while negotiating the insane levels of bureaucracy imposed over the years by politicians who haven't got a clue how farming works.
The Murray-Darling Basin accounts for $22 billion in food and fibre production. What effect will this cruel policy, delivered to satisfy ignorant leftist city dwellers, have on our beautiful country?
With 2.2 million new arrivals requiring food in the last 12 months alone, measures to reduce water for food production are the reverse of the policy we need.

Tough Questions Asked on Digital ID Bill
How can Minister Gallagher claim Digital ID will be secure given government is one of the largest perpetrators of data breaches?
I questioned whether it "wouldn't be compulsory" in the same way the government claims vaccines were never compulsory.
What Minister Gallagher failed to mention is that Section 74(4) of the Digital ID Bill allows the Digital ID to be made compulsory if a bureaucrat is "satisfied it is appropriate to do so".
This will almost definitely be abused and makes a joke of the claim Digital ID would be voluntary.

Digital ID Bill Passes First of Three Stages
The Labor Government is pushing ahead with their globalist control agenda by introducing the Digital ID bill. This proposal is nothing more than a 21st Century version of Soviet Russia’s favourite measure – papers please.
Senator Gallagher says myGov ID is not compulsory: that is "misinformation". The Director's ID legislation didn't mention myGov IDs yet every director was required to get one.
The reason 10 million Australians have a myGov ID is because 10 million Australians were coerced into getting one.
One Nation will be fighting this terrible bill at every stage.

Asia Pacific Security Innovation Forum | Leighton Baker
I was invited to join this International Parliamentary Assembly Virtual Event for the Asia Pacific Security Innovation Forum, a non-partisan New Zealand think tank, formed in 2019.
I was impressed with another invited guest, Leighton Baker, a former political party leader with a trades background. His clear-thinking, clear-speaking, practical and sensible approach to the subject matter of national security was refreshing to hear.

Employees “Better Off” On Half Award Pay Says Fair Work
During my senate estimates questioning of Murray Furlong from the Fair Work Commission, I was told that it's a requirement under a Fair Work Enterprise Agreement that employees must be better off overall with terms that are more beneficial than the award rate.
Surely anyone can see $66,000 is not better off than $137,000? The award rate is more than double what the enterprise agreement rate was. No amount of paperwork and reference to laws can change that fact. The process of approving this enterprise agreement was flawed and illegal must be fixed.
Mr Furlong was not able to show that the Deputy Commissioner had sighted the Better Off Overall Test (BOOT) for the 2015 EA before approval and I read out a letter from the FWC that indicated that the BOOT was not attached to the file and therefore was not done.
Simon Turner's claims must be fulfilled.

Reserve Bank Rate Decision
Why does the Reserve Bank want to send everyone broke?
The RBA will make its interest rate decision shortly.

Government Running a Ponzi Scheme
Labor is running a Ponzi scheme covering up a per capita recession. It’s bringing in huge numbers of new arrivals to increase spending to hide the per capita recession. They are running Australia's economy like a Ponzi scheme, relying on a flood of overseas arrivals to prop up GDP numbers with their spending.
That increased spending adds to inflation and that contradicts the Reserve Bank’s (RBA) strategy of raising interest rates to cut spending in an attempt to stop inflation.
The government's high level of new arrivals into Australia goes against the RBA strategy and forces the RBA to further increase interest rates. Albanese's government is letting Australians suffer in a per capita recession and worst decline in per capita income of all the developed nations.
This is why life for everyday Australians is continuing to get worse. Excluding tourists and short stay visas, there are 2.3 million visa holders in the country competing with Australians for a roof over their head.
One Nation proposes net zero immigration where Australia only replaces the numbers who leave the country until the housing supply, essential services and infrastructure can catch up with the demand.

Only Net Zero Immigration Will Solve the Housing Crisis
With 2.3 million new visa holders in Australia this year (excluding tourists) it's no wonder we have a rental crisis.
We need to stem the immigration tidal wave to a gentle ebb and flow of replacement. For everyone who leaves, someone new arrives. Net Zero migrants makes sense until we have sufficient housing, essential services and infrastructure to cope with more people.
Housing is tight and therefore expensive. It's impossible to build enough houses or freeze enough prices to fix the housing problem until this immigration tidal wave is cut.
Instead of putting banks and big business first, let's put people first.

Australia's Moral Obligation to End Child Labour
Child labour hinders a child's physical and educational development. It reinforces the vicious circle of poverty and affects children across the developing world. No child should have to sacrifice their childhood to work.
I'm proud to announce that I will be introducing my Bill, The Custom's Amendment (Preventing Child Labour) Bill 2023, at the next sitting. This Bill introduces escalating penalties on products with child labour in their supply, leading eventually to a complete ban. Using a stepwise approach gives offending suppliers time to move away from employing children to employing adults instead. Imposing an immediate ban on these suppliers would be disastrous to the economies of the countries involved.
These children would be in school and their parents in jobs if wealthier nations had not turned a blind eye for so long to the problem. It's Australia's moral obligation to help end the cycle of child labour.

Labor Cover Up Emu Swamp Dam Cancellation
Labor is hollowing out the bush and lying about it. I asked why the Emu Swamp Dam near Stanthorpe in Queensland was cancelled and Minister Watt responded that it was the road that was cancelled. What Minister Watt did not admit was that Labor had cancelled the dam last year and had recently cancelled the infrastructure around the dam, just to make sure it never gets built.
During the recent drought, Stanthorpe, famous for its apples and grapes, had to resort to water tankers to keep it's residents supplied. Access to clean water is a basic human requirement. The Emu Swamp Dam was a modest solution to water shortage in the Southern Downs of Queensland. Labor are refusing to build dams for drinking water and instead plan to use treated recycled water for drinking water. I will speak more on that next year.
Labor destroy where One Nation would build.

Minister Uses Question Time to Pass the Buck on New Arrivals and Housing
I asked questions about the staggering numbers of new visa holders flooding into Australia — 5.8 million tourists visas issued in the last 12 months and 1.1 million work, student and permanent visas.
The Minister representing the Minister for Home Affairs used up his allotted response time in a performance that involved pretending he didn't really understand my question. He worked hard to reassign blame for the current situation, ignoring that it’s happening under his government’s watch.
He promoted Labor’s Housing Fund, which One Nation opposed. The scheme is a con that will build a few thousand homes in total and allows the Government to pretend the housing needs of the millions of people they are letting in can be met.
Labor is flooding the country with millions of new arrivals, and pretends housing is taken care of. It is not. The only way to fix the housing crisis is to turn the visa tap off until the housing stock catches up.

Double Jeopardy in Tax Unfair
One Nation supports an efficient, honest and fair tax system.
A fair tax system is one where tax is not double-charged. That's what franking credits do. They make sure a tax is not double-charged.
They ensure that Australians don't pay income tax on the parts of dividends on which the government has already collected company tax. That's fair. There's no reason to allow the government to double-dip on Australian profits and then again on Australians' income.

What is Coal LSL Hiding?
Simon Turner, a coal miner from the Hunter Valley, suffered a workplace injury and has missed out on his entitlements, including long service leave, for 9 years. I have consistently questioned Coal Long Service Leave (LSL) at previous Senate Estimates and did so again in October.
The CEO of Coal LSL, Ms Darlene Perks' responses to my questions were clearly not co-operative and were defensive.

Watt Arrogance, Watt Contempt
Senator Murray Watt showed the people of Australia his inability to behave in a relevant, responsible or respectful manner when he failed repeatedly to answer questions about the unsustainably high levels of immigration his party and his government are presiding over. That he got away with it without being censured in the Senate Chamber speaks volumes.
Senator Watt laughably continues, along with the rest of his party, to blame the previous government for current issues while halfway through its own term. Either Labor is not fit to run things, or they know they’re in big trouble and desperate to point the finger elsewhere.
The headlines from the major media outlets are telling us that immigration is responsible for the housing crisis. It’s glaringly obvious that this and the failed Net Zero policy is to blame for rising energy prices and the cost-of-living crisis.
Labor is destroying much of what Australia stands for, and it has destroyed its own credibility in the process.

What Will it Take to Get a Straight Answer?
I asked three simple questions of the Minister representing the Minister for Immigration, Citizenship and Multicultural Affairs and yet again, Senator Watt turned the Senate Chamber into a circus to his obvious amusement and wasted precious time.
Does the government control the level of immigration into Australia? Yes or No? And how many net overseas migrants will arrive in Australia this year?
The Treasurer earlier this year stated that the government had no control over immigration numbers, yet this is not the case. Was this 'misinformation'?
The Minister gave no specific answers and once again attempted to direct attention back to the previous government and promoted the Labor's utterly useless housing bill.

Watt a Clown Show
When will this Labor government make the decision to cut unsustainable, record high immigration? This is a government that is halfway through its term, yet it’s still blaming the previous government. Are we really supposed to swallow this fairy-tale?
Australia’s immigration levels have been allowed to escalate under the Albanese government and they’re driving both the housing crisis and the high cost of living. These two issues have worsened exponentially under Labor.
I had to remind the Minister to answer the question because he was determined to use up the time allotted for answering in banter with others in the chamber, or to deliberately twist my words. When I pressed him to answer he could only pass the buck, talk up Labor's grossly inadequate housing fund and it's clear he is not prepared to accept any responsibility. The arrogance and lack of respect he shows to his position and by default, the Australian people, is deplorable.
Failure to take responsibility is a symptom of the ways in which Labor is failing the Australian people. A recent Weekend Australian article has reported that the migration surge is fuelling inflation, and the Reserve Bank backs that up.
The recent tsunami of new arrivals is under Labor’s watch and Senator Murray Watt needs to own it. These performances in parliament he’s indulging in, rather than taking his position seriously, do nothing to restore the people’s trust in government.

"Closing Loopholes" Split Shows Labor Doesn't Actually Care About Workers
I spoke in support of Senators' Pocock and Lambie pulling out sections of the Fair Work Legislation Amendment (Closing Loopholes) Bill 2023 and dealing with them urgently. These are all worthwhile, all simple, and all carved out of the original legislation. This isn't controversial. It is worthwhile legislation that needs to be dealt with now.
The Closing-Loopholes Bill is a cover-up and combining the bills under the 'loopholes' tag is a trick. There are some fantastic elements in this package but they're using those to hide the flawed elements of the bill.
Despite the Labor party lies:
- One Nation will always support workers getting redundancy entitlements.
- One Nation will always support workers’ rights when they are suffering domestic violence.
- One Nation will always support workers safety against silica and asbestos.
- One Nation will always support our first responders receiving injury compensation for the PTSD they got from work.
Labor hates this move to split-out elements of the bill, because it proves they have abandoned the workers.
Labor is no longer the party of the workers. One Nation is the new party of the workers.

Laboring Under the Delusion of Albanese's Election Promises
Since 2020, real wages have gone backwards to the same level as 2009. It's the worse decline in household income anywhere in the developed world, not a title we want.
Labor traditionally sold itself as the party of the worker, but today's Labor is selling out Australian workers.
According to data from the OECD, the Albanese Labor government has presided over a 5.1% reduction in per capita household income. Before Labor tells you its because of the global problems caused by the Ukraine, or because of supply chain issues, not only did this Labor government reduce household incomes 5.1 percent, two thirds of developed nations actually grew their per capita income during the same period.
The government's Net Zero climate scam is driving power bills up and driving employment opportunities down. Labor, far from championing the workforce, is selling out workers by allowing 2.3 million visa holders into the country and driving down real wages.
The real party for the workers is One Nation.
