What kind of disease is it in which the most popular and celebrated treatment is a conversion experience into a polytheistic religion?

How does a person’s faith in Jesus Christ relate to their struggle with addiction? What is the cause of addiction? Does the Bible say anything about the feelings and experience of addiction? Many believers conclude that the Bible is silent about addiction therefore, they rely on a secular view.

The theory of addiction that dominates our culture today is constructed on an evolutionary worldview. A view that rejects the immaterial side of man and teaches that man is a material being only. If man is material being only then all his problems are material or physical problems.

What is it about mankind that makes us so vulnerable to being overcome by certain desires? Why do people crave substances and why do people do things that are wrong, harmful not just to themselves but to those they love.

The idea that the husband must always be the initiator of sex is not biblical.

The primary goal of the sexual relationship is meeting the desires of your spouse. The focus is not on what you get out of sex but the pleasure you GIVE to your husband or wife.

To be passive about sex is no more biblical than being passive about prayer, reading the Bible and church attendance. God said sex is "very good."

The Bible doesn’t say “Thou shall not live together.” The Bible does speak specifically about some things, but not all things. The Bible doesn’t contain a comprehensive list of dos and don’ts.

We all experience painful emotions. Where do they come from?

Children are vulnerable, teachable, and open to influence by friends, school, television, and the internet. They are inclined to accept every Bible-doubting idea that they hear.

Should Christians interpret Scripture in light of science, or is it the other way around? Many of the issues troubling the family and specifically, children and young adults is rooted in Satan’s question. “Indeed, has God said”

There’s nothing more important for Christian parents than to teach their children how to defend their beliefs. When they know how to defend their beliefs, they’re not prey to people who attempt to undermine those beliefs.

There are, sadly, children, who seem to be incurably bad and rebellious. You may be asking yourself, is my son, or daughter that rebellious? Well, they may be. However, you need to be very careful when you make that judgement. It's not that you shouldn't make that kind of judgment. But it is a serious decision. So, how do you decide?

In order to help Edith I needed to teach her the Biblical doctrine and dynamics of habit. She needed to understand what the Bible teaches about how the change process works.

Grief may become sinful, but that is true of many behaviors that are in and of themselves good. For example, eating is not sinful however; excessive eating is referred to in the Bible as gluttony and is sinful. Eating is sinful when a person becomes habituated to over-eating and lacks self-control. Grief is sinful when it becomes a habitual practice that immobilizes a person and they are not doing what God obligates them to do.

Jesus is our fellow-sufferer and this should be a great comfort to us as we consider the subject of grief. When we go to Him in our grief we find One who knows what it means to mourn, and have His heart broken. Jesus is “A man of sorrows and acquainted with grief” therefore, a solace to us when we grieve (Isaiah 53:3). You weep, my brother my sister, in good company for your Lord wept.

Here’s a question that all fathers need to ask themselves. Who is training my children in the things of God? Who is really the spiritual head of my home? A lot of fathers would have to admit it is their wife. In the majority of homes where training is happening, the mother is usually the one that teaches, prays, reads the Bible, and takes the children to church. The God-given role is reversed and it's not right.

We have witnessed the breakdown of parenting. Granted, every generation has its shortcomings. However, years ago, it was uncommon for a child’s preference to override the parents. Today it is not. Parental authority has been transferred to children. Children’s opinions and preferences matter as much as the parents.

We pray and ask God for help. Heal my wife. Provide the finances we need in this emergency. And you wait and you wait. And when God finally shows up it appears like He’s too late. And at that point you have a choice.

The purpose of a washing machine is to wash clothes. The purpose of a microphone is to amplify my voice. Signs of design indicate a purpose. If there is purpose, then that points to a designer. Somebody conceived of the idea of a washing machine and built one. The design argument is widely regarded as the most persuasive evidence for the existence of God.

When someone says to you, your son or daughter “you don’t have any evidence God exists” they can confidently say, “yes, I do”. I want to talk to you about the existence of God. There is philosophical evidence. There is scientific evidence. I want to focus on scientific evidence.

Today’s culture pits men and women against one other. It encourages women to think in terms of competing with men. They say, women can do any job a man can do. However, God did not design men and women for competition, but for cooperation.

I think there are some educational benefits to allowing children to use digital devices. But I also think there are some risks.
