Asia: (noun) one of the continents Hacia: (preposition of movement) Remember the "H" is silent in Spanish, so Asia and Hacia will sound the same to Spanish speakers who are "seseantes", meaning people who pronounce S/C like "S" sounds In parts of Spain they are "ceceantes" so they will pronounce the S like an "S" but the "C" like a "th" sound.
